Toronto, ON (Aug. 12, 2026) – BrokerLink continues growing with three new acquisitions in two provinces. The company welcomed CRS/Merrill Insurance Ltd. (headquartered in Calgary, AB), Ames’ Insurance & Real Estate Ltd. (headquartered in Pincher Creek, AB), and Schofield Insurance Limited (based in Halifax, NS), effective August 1, expanding its presence in Alberta and Nova Scotia. These acquisitions strengthen BrokerLink’s network by adding local expertise and strong community relationships, while extending the company’s reach into a new Alberta market.
Strengthening BrokerLink’s presence in Calgary, Alberta
With roots dating back to 1957, CRS Merrill Insurance has built a strong reputation for personalized service and lasting customer relationships in Calgary and the surrounding areas. Establishing a new presence in Pincher Creek, Alberta
For more than 65 years, Ames Insurance has served the Pincher Creek community with a local, relationship-driven approach to insurance. The acquisition marks BrokerLink’s entry into the Pincher Creek community, creating new opportunities to serve customers in the region while building on the brokerage’s strong legacy of community involvement and customer service.
Welcoming new customers in Nova Scotia
Founded in 1977, Schofield Insurance has grown into a trusted brokerage serving customers from its Windsor and Halifax offices. Offering home, auto, business and specialty insurance solutions, the brokerage is known for its local expertise, welcoming approach and strong connections to the communities it serves.
