Montreal, QC (July 24, 2025) – GUS, the largest network of property restoration professionals in Canada, is proud to welcome TriMatrix to its group of property restoration professionals. Based in Vaughan (Greater Toronto Area), TriMatrix is an experienced and award-winning emergency restoration firm known for its fast response, expert teams, and deep-rooted commitment to helping people recover during time of crisis.
TriMatrix is a full-service design-build, project management, and restoration firm delivering high-quality work and innovative designs across the healthcare, industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential sectors. With over 30 years of experience and a solid reputation for integrity and professionalism, they handle a wide range of emergencies, from fires and floods to structural damage. Their ability to mobilize quickly and deliver results earned them recognition as Vaughan’s Top Renovation Company in 2018, and they have extensive experience working with IPAC standards in healthcare settings during crises.
Co-owner, President & CEO Alec Freed is an industry veteran with over 17 years of experience in construction and restoration. Alec brings a wealth of technical expertise to Trimatrix, holding his triple master designations (Master Water Restorer, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, Master Textile Cleaner), along with advanced designations of Mold Remediation Specialist & Commercial Drying Specialist with the IICRC. He is also certified Asbestos Abatement Worker and Supervisor in Ontario and remains active with the Restoration Industry Association (RIA), holding advanced designations as a Contents Loss Specialist (CLS) and Fire Loss Specialist (FLS).
Over the past decade, Alec has focused on project management and consulting, working on major loss projects across the country, including hospitals, apartment buildings, and commercial/industrial sites. “We are humbled to have the opportunity to bring exceptional workmanship and customer service to our clients in the GTA and beyond. Expanding the TriMatrix portfolio to include emergency disaster restoration services will help us better serve communities in the GTA when they need us the most” Says Alec Freed.
TriMatrix is also deeply rooted in their community. As proud supporters of Waves of Change, a grassroots initiative focused on autism awareness and inclusion, and sponsors of Smiles of Innocence, a foundation dedicated to supporting critically ill children and their families, they demonstrate a commitment to care and service that goes far beyond the job site. Their people-first approach aligns perfectly with GUS’s values.
“Our company is built on a belief in teamwork, transparency, and heart,” says Donny Di Vincentiis, Co-owner. “Joining the GUS network will allow us to expand our reach while continuing to support clients when they need us most. Behind every emergency is a real human story, and we’re here to help write a better next chapter.”
Jaime Smith, Director of Franchise Development at GUS, adds: “TriMatrix brings not just experience, but heart.
