Apple has approved and posted iCompete for download and use on Apple iPad devices.
iCompete appears to be the first ever of its kind for the iPad – having all the product data and computation routines self contained and independent of the Internet and connectivity issues. One of the obvious advantages to the user is that use of the iCompete software application on the iPad does not depend on concurrent availability and access to data transfer. Another obvious advantage is that the self-contained design and implementation avoids the potential risk of open broadcast of private client personal information clients over insecure public internet connectivity WiFi hot-spots.
The initial release of iCompete includes quotations and comparisons for single lives. One of the components of next upcoming enhancement which is expected to be available during June is the addition of Joint-Life quotations and comparisons.
iCompete is available in a limited version to everyone. The expanded version, instantly accessed by the user entering his/her LifeGuide license serial number, provides expanded detail, including renewal costs for term products, initial u/w submission requirements, etc. The expanded version of iCompete is available free to all LifeGuide subscribers. Advisors, brokers or agents who lack a license to LifeGuide are able to purchase a license to use the the expanded version of iCompete for an annual license fee of $239.
Custom versions of iCompete are also available to MGAs and insurers.
