Toronto, Ontario, 8 February 2008 – The year 2007 has, very pleasingly, been filled with a flurry to implement XML standards to improve the efficiencies and integrations with the Independent Broker Distribution Channel. In honour and recognition of these innovative achievements in support of the Independent Broker Distribution Channel, CSIO is introducing an annual achievement award. This year CSIO will recognize achievements for commercial lines XML implementation by a vendor member.
CSIO has comprised a criteria list to identify the best candidate for this award. The criterion is listed below. Potential award entrants will be reviewed and selected by the CSIO Board of Directors.
- The most measurable Return On Investment (as determined by brokers themselves) delivered from a vendor�s seamless implementation of CSIO commercial lines standards used by the Independent Broker Distribution Channel.
- The broadest packaged offering of CSIO commercial lines data standards delivered to the Independent Broker Distribution Channel.
- The greatest number of active CSIO commercial lines real time implementations between trading partners within the Independent Broker Distribution Channel.
Any member can nominate a vendor member by submitting to CSIO a brief explanation based upon the above criterion. The award is to be presented on April 22nd, 2008, at the CSIO Annual General Meeting.
CSIO has worked diligently developing Standards that are robust and have the foresight and evolutionary capabilities to compliment and adapt to the ever-changing business requirements. In 2005, CSIO, with the insights of a wide range of experts of our membership, developed extensive commercial lines XML, Recommendations, and Forms standards for the industry.
