Innovative uses of Agentic Systems (AI Agents working together)

AI Agents are relatively new; Agentic Systems even more recent. Examples:

Parametric Insurance with IoT & Autonomous Payout Agents by FloodFlash (UK)

FloodFlash offers parametric flood insurance, where IoT water sensors on-site trigger AI agents to autonomously initiate claim payouts when flood levels cross a preset threshold — no human intervention or claims filing required.

The AI agents monitor real-world data, validate parameters, and execute smart contracts for instant payouts. It's an example of IoT+AI agent orchestration for fully automated insurance transactions.

AI Negotiator Agent for Claim Settlements by Lemonade (USA/Europe)

Lemonade's AI claims bot (Jim) acts as an autonomous agent to process claims, detect potential fraud, and even negotiate payouts — all in under 3 minutes. The AI agent reads claim descriptions, cross-checks against policy terms, looks for anomalies via behavioral AI, and instantly pays claims when no red flags appear.

It uses Natural Language Understanding (NLU), anomaly detection, and decision-making agents together — an agentic system without human involvement.

Innovation: These agentic systems run 24/7 and provide instant closing and payment, improving customer service and sat.
