from Doug:
From my office window and balcony, we can see much of Occupy Toronto and St James Park, with the Cathedral beyond. Any number of photos have had our condo building in the background. As I look down now a day after the eviction notices, things look relatively quiet, people walking through the park. There appear to still be about thirty tents, more or less. Comments from around the condo have varied widely, from sympathy to indifference to antagonism, as you might expect. I have not paid attention to the news today, but I wonder what is next for the Occupy movement generally, and here in this city. Quite a different kettle of fish from protests going on in some less quiet parts of the world. I think I like it better here.
